Designing With Fabric

Coordinating fabrics correctly is a great way to add visual appeal to a room without breaking the bank. Consider these simple suggestions to help achieve design success throughout your home or office space:

1. Keep in mind that coordinating color should be one of the primary focuses in your design. Try to find colors that coordinate by scheme or family type.

2. Make sure to vary the textures that you use. Doing so will add depth and keep you from repeating looks and feels in the space.

3. Combine patterns that do not overwhelm the eye. Repeated patterns, for example, should be avoided whenever possible. Crazy or overused patterns will overwhelm your guests and make your design scheme look sloppy.
